Wat Phra That Phanom Woramahawihan Buddha Park, Dong Mu, Wan Yai, Mukdahan

Wat Phra That Phanom Woramahawihan Buddha Park, Dong Mu, Wan Yai, Mukdahan is one of those places that make it to a map somewhere. in this case Google Maps, but  rarely to be seen by anyone.Parks like this seem to be scattered throughout the region some in better, some in worse shape than others. Some are part of Buddhist monasteries and some are stand alone like the Wetsandon Chadok Park Roi-Et. The name of the place gives a expectation of big things considering use of the name Wat Phra That Phanom, one of the most sacred sites in the Thailand. Woramahawihan, perhaps talking about the great and excellent collection of images, might be considered an exaggeration, even for Thailand. I snooped around the place and could not find a soul, nor a sole that might indicate a monk in residence. If you are driving from That Phanom to Mukdahan or vice versa it is worth giving the place a visit as it is a dong, Thai for  thick grove and shady and quiet. It can be found on my Mukdahan map. Just another part of the hidden Isaan
