From Khon Kaen we spent the Night in Kalasin to visit a friend and from the we travelled to Na Ku in Kalasin, more about that later, and from there the back road (still more about that, later) to Phu Pha Yon National Park in Amphor Tao Ngio. I had visited it about a year ago and was impressed with the maintenance of site an work going on. The reservoir name is Huai Huat, which was the name of the park, years ago. This year we only traveled a few 300 meters to the small Sai Yoi waterfall. The rainy season is bringing out some beautiful plant life and the work I had seen being done has made the trail much safer and accessible.
The mountain Phu Pha Yon itself has a cliff with ancient carvings. Another cliff Pha Phaya Tao Ngio, supposedly has a tortoise shape.
We hope to visit the rest of these sites as soon as weather, and me remembering proper footwear, allow
