New Phu Pan Museum, Sakon Nakhon, Thailand

This museum has been open for less than a week and should be on your list of places to visit if you are going to be in town. It is divided into a number of rooms that are well laid out, but once again, lack English. Exhibits showing the geography, peoples, culture, products and the religion in the area are all depicted in separate rooms. My express tour through the museum lasted only 20 minutes as I was "recording live" and just wanted to get a feel for what was there, but I would recommend no less than an hour. There seem to be plenty of staff on hand to help explain the The video does not show much, but I will return with a plan to shoot live again. Pictures in this gallery are a statues showing Thai Boxing (muaiy thai)poses. The sculpture garden is in front of the museum. click on the up arrow in the lower right hand corner of the album to view full screen
