Childrens Day is saturday and Sunday the Moo of the village face each other on the field, pitch and court. It's Sports day in the Villages throughout Isaan. Moo are the sub-districts of villages and towns in Thailand, so you might live on soi2, moo4, ban fart, tambon fecal, amphor squat in whatever changwat in thailand. Now particapants are from child to adult and the stakes are high. There certainly wouldn't be any gambling on the side in Thailand, so trophies are awarded the winning Moo. Petanque has gotten quite poular all over Isan in the past few years, but to me the sport to watch is takaw. Theseguys got to be in shape. Another high point for the kids is something from Childrens Day is usually left up for them to play on. Enjoy the show.
