Yaang Talaat, or Yang Talaat or Yang Talat is located about 16 kilometers west of Kalasin town on the road from Khon Kaen. It is home to the soon to be re-opened 18 hole golf course and as the town name would have it home to a tire recycling industry. There are some smaller and some larger than the operation pictured here , but they all operate the same way. The tires are torn apart and put back together in the form of trash receptacles. I have asked around and the locals say the town gets its name from the re-cycling operations, but I rather doubt it.
Khon Kaen is the start of what is being called the northeastern corridor and heading east Yaang Talaat is the first stop. When the golf course reopens that will certainly be part of the draw enroute to Kalasin and east. Also in town on the eastbound side of the dual carriage way is The "Mae Neuang Complex" for food and OTOP products.
