Wat Pa Saeng Arun, a Tour in Khon Kaen, Isaan, Thailand

Just to bring you up to date Wat Pa Saeng Arun is "listed" by the Tourism Authority of Thailand, Wikipedia and the entire bunch of the usual "copy-paste" crowd. Here is what the all generally to say "Sim Isan (Wat Pa Saeng Arun) (สิมอีสาน) The Sim Isan’s outstanding features lie in its typical shape and style, solidity, shelter as well as beauty of the murals of Mudmi patterns of the province’s famous tie-dyed silk. This has been intended for later generations to learn, treasure as well as conserve local architecture." Well they are correct as far as they go. What these clowns fail to mention is an outstanding exhibit of "Life in Isaan" and its' more than 12 scenes that depict life in Isaan. Finding #1 about preparing the field through to the end I overtaxed my almost grammar school Thai and Found a young monk to help out. Below is the entire set of photos, they are all really quite self-explanotory and you to can practice your Thai for the explanations. I have read about the place for years and based on want the tourist dummies had to say never got out there. If I would have known what was out there I would have visited ages ago. If you are in town don't miss it. And click on the up arrow in the lower right hand corner to view full screen
